Friend wants to do a 8 inch sub in a small sealed box. what subs work in small sealed ? And by all means any vendors have info and prices feel free to PM me.

probably between 150-200 watts will be going to the sub.

Thanks

Going sealed, the Image Dynamics ID8 comes to mind. I liked the sound of mine (2 sealed in an '08 Escape on 500WRMS for the pair). I'd like to try out the IDQ8.

Just checked out the ID8. Seems nice. I'll let him know about them. Thanks

The 2" 4-layer voice coil, vented pole piece, and heavy-duty aluminum voice coil former provide impressive power handling. Excellent for small-enclosure home or automotive subwoofers.

Little smaller of a box, he has a spot where he is building a box. It's tiny, maybe .25 tops lol. But them ID8 could be used In .20 it says.

for an 8" isn't .25ft3 pretty small, i have 6.5's CDT m6+ and it calls for .45ft3

i guess u could go with more Height than depth for an 8" in huh

for small boxes like that are u planning on just making ur own and also what mdf are u going to use 5/8" or 3/4"

It's not for me, Getting info for a friends build. I told him due to the lack of airspace. He might want to use a 6.5 inch woofer. I believe it's being made out of .5 MDF.

do u mean .81 ft3?
No, I mean .18 ft3.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Makes for a Qtc of .707 and a F3 of 66Hz. Should be a very good match for most vehicles after considering 12dB/octave cabin gain below 70Hz or so.

Totally depends on the T-S parameters.
