8 inch kicker subs

My 2 DD1008as got down and dirty... Off of ~800WRMS to the pair. Not sure where you get that they're not good for daily...

common, dont you guys know only 15s 18s and 21s can get low, hell any noob knows that.

I have been running 4 Sundown E8's for over 2 years now, dont let anyone tell you that 8" subs cannot get loud. My system is daily and folks who I have givin demos to still guess 12" or 10"s.

If you build the box right, Do some sound deadining, Tune your amp right you can get 8's to do pretty much anything.

Plenty of Local members here can verify that my system is loud/clean for a daily and my 8's get low.

But if you want to sit there and listen to chop and screwed stuff all day then yeah go with a bigger sub, but again its all about the box design and install.

jesus christ you would have thought I started a ******* war, all I really meant to say I guess was that 1 single 8" compared to a 10" or a 12" won't get as loud on the low low notes like subs with more cone area can. geez

however multiple 8's is defiantly different.

just for the record i was being sarcastic.

a single 8 will get plenty loud and low if in the right enclosure. and if your going to spend money on a single 8 pay a little more and get a good one. dd comes to mind or my personal favorite the sa-8

I wouldn't say kicker is a "no go", I've heard lots of good things about their l7 8's from a couple different people
don't bash them if you've never used it

My brother ran 750 RMS to a L7 8" for 6 months straight daily. He beat it so hard but it never gave up until the combination of florida heat and wayy too much power ripped the surround slap off the basket. The glue gave out , didnt hurt the speaker at all. After a hell of a time aligning it and regluing it i ran it at 750 RMS for a month or 2 and sold it still working great on CL for 175 bucks. LOL. I don't like new kicker stuff but i would definetly own another on of those if the price was right.

the motor isn't bigger then the basket however it is bigger than the cut out of the sub. which caused me a few problems already lol
