8 Gauge vs. 4 Gauge

I have a Kicker 12 inch CVR 800 watt sub, Quantum Audio 1000 watt amp. I am using a 8 gauge wire. I'm thinking of changing it to 4 gauge wire. If I use a 4 gauge wire, will I get more power from the battery to the amp? And will my subs sound a little better? Thanks..

QA amp I doubt it will make any difference that amp might be able to do 500 rms. 8 should be fine if the fuse is about 50 amps tops maybe even 45. With that amp not worth the upgrade IMO. save for later if you upgrade amps to a real one and then size it to that later. just why run 4 to it now and then upgrade and have to run even bigger again later. You might notice a difference to the "holy" meter maybe go from 128 to 128.1 ooo a huge gain.
