8 Gauge and 100 amp Maxi fuse?

my 4 gauge has a 60A fuse on it now..but when i get my 4 channel installed it will have a 100A maxi fuse..but i use 4 gauge..what if u wanna get a 4 channel..stick with 4 guage or bigger..8 gauge just isnt enough..unless you want it and on budget thats fine

thanks alot dewd! My 8 gauge wire is sure to combust any day with a 1000w amp on it and a 80a fuse >_

Is it cool to split 4ga > 6ga? Seems to me the rule of thumb is even number splits but that might just be common practice as opposed to necessary..?

I'm confused as to what you're asking. You can split to any awg wire, just make sure if you're going smaller, then fuse appropriately.
