8'' for dedicated midbass?

Are there any reasonably priced 8's out there that will sound good in a door and do well for dedicated midbass. Like 80hz-400hz with 250w. Are there any major reasons why this owuld be a bad idea instead of sticking with 6.5's?

I have Dayton Ref 8's and love em. The SLS's are really nice as well.

There have been a few people asking me about the Bravox PXW 8's for mid-bass. I have not used them, so I cannot speak from experience yet.

I'd recommend the Peerless SLS 8"s as well. If you're worried about the 8 ohm, then bridge a 4 chan. That's a cheap way to get some powa to your mids.
