8 12s or 6 15s

im gonna do a whole new system but not really sure what would be the best. 8 12s or 6 15s i want the lows that the 15s will have but 8 12s sounds pretty cool. i know im gonna have to clam shell the 8 but i can do the 15s sub up and port back. can 8 12s sound as deep as 6 15s or not. what do u guys think. the subs for both 12s or 15s will be 500 to 600wrms
