740 watts too much for these?

Is 740 watts rms too much for my 2 12"s that only have 400 rms together?

we need way more info.

what subs, what amp, and what ohm load for starters.

and if its a combined 400 for both subs.....thats just like askin if you can put a 32 inch screen, into a 17 inch LCd.

The amp is a MT1600-2 and the subs are 2 12" Duals in Bandpass Box. They are wired to 4 ohms. The Amp puts out 740 watts at 4 ohm bridged.

I'm gonna say no for dealing with the full output of the amp, however if you leave the gain down and don't go crazy with the volume knob you can use the two together.
