Made a thread a while back, about a project race car I'm building. My dad got real sick, and had to sell his old race car, so me and my brother are building this one for him. He's been a big fan of Mopar Dodges. His last car was a very fast Dart.
Here's the lowdown if you missed it. We are now hoping for a mid 8 second car.
The car had some rust, it has now been sandblasted and is free of rust. The frame and rear-end came in. Wheels and slicks should be in tommorrow. After the wheels are put in, we'll be able to put the rear-end in. We decided to go 4-link instead, because the adjustments and time we were hoping to achieve is to much for the othersetup we had in mind. We already have the 8 3/4 rearend with gears installed. Might have to do some adjusting with the gears later on. After the rear-end is in, we will be dropping in the motor, which is currently in Memphis, Tenn. It is a 440 big block, with Dart heads, Holley Double pumper carb., Comp. Cam/valve/spring setup, Aftermarket Pistons, and some other modifications. We also have a converter, msd ignition, and fuel pump that will be going in with that motor. Were going to do some adjusting and hope we'll have her running in the next couple months. We have allot of work to do.
But she went from a rust bucket, to a sand blasted car today. We are looking at a hott orange paintjob. Hoping to keep the car under 3200 lbs. Keep in mind it is a uni-body.
