SOUTH PALM BEACH, Florida, April 28, 2008 (NBC) -- A seven-year-old Florida boy is facing serious charges after taking his grandmother's car for a surprise joyride.

Latarian Milton took his grandmothers keys, hopped into her car, and led police on a high-speed chase before eventually crashing into several other vehicles and coming to a halt.

The 2006 Dodge Durango was totaled, but Milton wasn't hurt.

He's now facing charges of grand-theft auto.

Palm Beach Gardens police say they're concerned because Milton knew exactly what he was doing and showed no remorse after crashing the vehicle.
