I know that in the parallel setup, usually the rear port is low tuned and the front port is high tuned. The rear is for lows, front for highs.......I get it.

But wtf is going on with series? Both the cone and low tuned port are firing into the second chamber wih the high tuned port. Isn't that going to cause problems with low frequency output? I don't understand how it works.

And now for some 8th order non sense.

How would the response shape look in these mofo's?

I wouldn't really worry about an 8th, they seem pretty f'n useless for most applications, if not nearly all.
What's your question between a series and parallel 6th?
It's the series first chamber port firing into the second chamber and out of its port. Wouldn't the response be manipulated negatively?

The first 8th order is also confusing as to what's going on. The rear section is ported TWICE. wtf?

To be honest I haven't really taken the time to study them. Now I know plenty about 4th and 6th orders, though.

That's what I love about them.
winISD shows that if you only want low end extension, within a small band of frequency, and not be too "peaky" for music, then you can build a 4th order and get the same exact output as a 6th order. Of course, the 4th is simpler to build.
