Don't forget as part of the resolutions violated by Iraq, they were required to dismantle and verify the disposal and wearabouts of the thousands of tons of chemical and biological munitions they were confirmed to have posessed pre gulf war. I guess it all vanished into thin air huh? Since the invasion, we have found several thousand tons of chemical munitions. This is in addition to the Genocidal extermination of several million people over the course of more than 20 years. Considering Iraq was a safe haven, and has directly provided funding and munitions to the very terrorist organizations that did carry out 911, it's easy to realize why this country was considered a grave threat to national security, as both Democratic and Republican members of the Senate agreed on, and provided explicit authorization for military intervention.

About the truck thing, America does indeed make better trucks than Europe, without a doubt.
What do you mean, that would take a S7? Lots of European cars would take a S7. Hell, even the MB 06 SLR Mclaren would take a S7. Not to mention most Ferraris, Carrera GTs, Koenigsegg CCX, Zondas, Maseratis, Lambos, etc etc.

To many, import = japanese (string trimmer) cars, such as Honda, Nissan, etc.

Less expensive econoboxes with suffiecient modding, make fast cars.

Add that to the fact that the work ethic in Europe and Japan is far different than it is in America.

So why don't American car makers get the drift? My dad has a 97 Cavalier. Base model, hadrly any options, 5spd. He has 275,000 highway miles to date, and the **** thing still runs like a top (This is a rare exception). As far as build quality however, the interior is lacking to say the least. big ugly gaps between panels, hard, thin plastic flanges, uncomfortable springy seats. Makes me wonder what the hell GM is thinking. No wonder they are going broke. What sucks is the thousands of Americans that are going to lose their jobs because of it.

Just makes more sense to me personally, to pay a few grand more for a jap spec, as I'l almost guaranteed a longer life, and better resale value. I'm about to sell my 92' Civic LX with 220,000, rusty dents, and nasty interior for $800-1,000 bucks. Runs perfect though. Imagine trying to get somone to tow away a 92 Cavalier without paying them.

Sure with enough money most ANY car can be made to go fast, but it wont change the quality of the car at all.

What do you mean by quality. I haven't ever seen a car whose fit and finish couldn't be upgraded
