600w amp for 500w Sub?

Hey all, newbie here. Was wondering if a 600w rms amp was too much for 500w rms (1500 peak) sub. Thanks in advance.

Probably not. Im running 600 rms to a 300 rms sub. Pound it daily.

i run about 1100 to a 900 watt sub and itrs all good man

its not like youre running 600 watts to it all the time you know?

if this is a type r (which i think is 500 rms/1500 peak) then you are perfectly fine. my friend runs 1000 watts to a type r
