600w... 2 10's?

Seriously though, my friend asked me to find him a pair of 10's for no more than 250 (125 each). He already has a 600w RMS sony amp that does max power @ 2 ohms and a chambered box for 2 10's. Id guess it's around 1 cf, but I could always throw some wood in to make it smaller or add a little polyfill if it's too small. What pair of 10's would you go with for the price considering the power he has. BTW, he doesnt really know what sq is, but I refuse to install a sub that souds like sh*t.

Here's what I'm thinking so far:

2 eD 11kv.2's

2 re10's

2 shiva 10's (price? I know its between 120 and 150)

2 rl-i 10's if I can get him to fork over a little more cash.

2 type r 10's

Which of these would you go with and are there any others I'm forgetting? (No kicker. Im not a fan of the comp vr which would be in his price range)

i would count the shiva 10s off for a while...but id expect >125 cuz the 12 was 125

if he dont no what sq is then get him sum comp vrs....theyll do great off 300 and sound decent enufff even for u and ur rlp

i'll have to look into that one. He mainly listens to rock and really just wants something that sounds good and if it bumps its a plus. Hes got some pbx comps up front and needs a pair of subs for the low end. He just has no idea what all this means. Im leaning towards a pair of 11kv.2's from eD. It comes out to under 200 shipped after 10% discount and a $10 off coupon I have from a review I wrote.

ehh it doesnt sound too good however. but it depends on his box and tuning.

Its looking like a pair of 11kv.2's unless someone can convince me otherwise.

I would recommend the infinity kappas, the type r's, or the kicker come vr's. If you click on that like to cardomain.com, and type in that coupon code, you can get those kickers for under $70, which is a great buy. Just throwing out some suggestions.
