i assume a 12...

if so than i personally would give it 2.5cubes and tune it to around 35hz...

i dont have ss experience but on most of my 12's they sound best with a 2.5cube system...or atleast to me as opposed to 1.5cubes.

SS arent most subs, they are overmotored and do bad on paper.

Those enclosures are modeled using LEAP, the industury standard for proper enclosure alignments.

Yes, I did have a 1.5 cu. ft. @ 34 before. To be honest the 2.5 sounds about the same. They are both ported. And I won't buy another RL-p. I will buy something different if I do.

i think you should just switch subs. you have tried new boxes, and were still unhappy. adding 400 watts IMO isn't worth it. do you like the sound, but just want louder? or are you just overall unhappy with it?

Personally, from experience with my RL-p, I would try more power and the smaller box, but thats just me.
