6 x 8 Mids? Any Suggestions?

Need to find out if there are any decent 6 x 8 speakers out on the market right now. Because i just ordered a pair of O2's and they were low quality to me. I need find a solid set of speakers considering all four speakers in my car are stock 6 x 8's holes. Budget is looking for a pair about under 150 hopefully. Thanks for the help

I would go with 2 pairs of JBL GTO8628 for $99 each. These are coaxials. You can get components instead but not for even higher than I've already exceeded your budget.

There is no reason to stick with 6x8 shape speakers. You can buy adapter brackets from PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made or use ones that are bundled with some of the speakers.

Having said this, if you need coaxial speakers, a very good coaxial speaker is Hybrid Audio Mirus 5x7. These are based on HAT Imagine convertible speakers. The Imagines have very good reviews. I have a set running in component mode in a Ford. If you need 5x7 or 6x8 components, then under $150 all you can get is JBL GTO or Infinity Reference or Kappa (same parent company). Neither is particularly great or bad. Personally, on this budget I'd buy something else. Perhaps Pioneer D-series. They should come with mounting bracket. For higher dollar, you can look into JL Audio C5-570 or Image Dynamics XS57.
