6 stroke engine...?

i get it! its brilliant!! so the fifth stroke is when the water is squirted and then immediately the piston gets pushed down which provides the second power stroke and then the sixth stroke is the second exhaust stroke. COOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!! sounds like itll save gas and possibly yield more power per cycle!!

edit: ok i just read the post above and now understand the water is squirted during the end of the 4th stroke. neato!

believe it or not, the hotter ur engine runs the more efficient it is...thats y in the winter (depending where u live) u get shittier gas mileage
to noob, as the 4th stroke comes to an end, water is injected into the cylinder, making a 5th (2nd power stroke), 6th stroke then becomes the actual exhaust stroke.
but its possible to become so hot your engine will keep running even after u try to shut it off.. so in theory, u dont want it to hot. that would just waste gas when it came time to shut off the engine LOL

yes, ur engine can get so hot that the internals will just melt together, causing a seized motor...this has actually happened to my mom bc she didnt want to change the water pump, there is an old saying in the auto industry that goes like this: "pay me now, or pay me (MORE) later..."

wouldn't the water power stroke pack less punch/ be less powerful than the regular gas powered power stroke??? If thats the case wouldn't it make acceleration all jerky??? I'm sure there's a way around it, or it might not be a problem and i could be completley wrong because i know almost nothing about the engine part of cars....

in that article, it says that when water vaporizes at turns into steam it expands to about 1600x its liquid volume, which in fact increases performance....thats a SHIT ton of torque...

Awesome such an interesting theory. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

There would still only be the 1 exhaust stroke correct? because you need the exhaust present in the engine to create the second power, so it would be..

Intake, compression, power, compression, power, exhaust... correct?

So smart.

u got it:cool:

So then the steam is actually more effiecinet then the gas???? What does gas expand to? Its hard to believe that steam is more powerful then gas blowing up but i guess water instantly vaporized into steam is probably some nasty shit

im no engineer, but id assume it would be just as powerful....look at the old stanley steamer cars...
