6 ohm speakers

Does any manufacturer make 6 ohm home audio speakers? Mine reciever is 100x5@6 ohms. I only see 4 or 8.

What kind of reciever do you have? Almost all recievers can put out an 8ohm load. There are plenty of speakers that work off of a 6ohm load.

jl makes 6 ohm woffers, but i dont think they are for home audio

I am pretty confident in saying that you should be fine running the receiver at 4 ohms or 8 ohms.

There are several loudspeaker manufactures that make 6 ohm Loudspeakers.

Monitor Audio, Wharfedale, PMC... ETC ETC. A lot of Canadian and British loudspeaker manufactures use the 6 ohm spec.
