6 gauge weld wire

The wire from subs to amp is only 12 gauge atm.

I wanna bump it up to max and i'm thinking weld wire because it's so cheap. The thing is the lowest gauge on Wires and Cables To Go is 6.

The HDS 312's say they only take 8 gauge but the terminals are pretty ******* giant compared to 12 gauge.

Anyone have any idea if the 6 gauge weld wire will fit in these terminals?

You may have to trim it down a bit, but you could get it to work

6 gauge certainly isn't necessary but you could trim it to fit if you insist on using it.

How many watts and how long is the wire. I provided a link you can look into later... Basic Car Audio Electronics, theres a wire calculator in there.

5 foot of wire directly from subs out the port to the amp and room to move the amp. i'm gonna run about 1200 watts per sub
