6.5 or 5.25 comps shallow mount?

I did a search but there wasn't much up to date info.

I recently cannibalized my stock door speakers to make spacers for som Kicker 5.25 coax speakers I had laying around...

http://www.caraudio.com/forums/speakers/525781-350z-door-speaker-solution.html

These coaxials are only ~2" deep and barely clear the window even with my fabricated spacers.

They sound better than stock, but I eventually intend to go with a proper set of comps.

So which shallow-mount comps should I look into?

I'm using a 300/2 for my highs and I can set my power to anything below 150/ch.

The highs will have to blend with a single 10W6v2 powered by a 500/1, so higher power-handling is preferred, but not required.

Been a while since I've seen the door of a 350Z; what's getting in the way from you installing a deeper woofer? How much space is there between the cone of the woofer & the door panel? If you have 1/2" or more, you can always make another plate to increase the amount of depth you have. If you have a door regulator in the way, there should be a bolt on the bottom holding it. A few washers there can give you a wee bit more space too.

I have a pair of CDT comps and am very pleased by them, have them seeing 150w a side, and turned the gain down a bit cus that was **** loud. I don't believe they are the shallow mounts though, they aren't deep. I've heard good things about Massive's comps as well.

I've got some Kenwood coaxials that I've been using for a while, now moved for rear fill, and they are nothing impressive.

If you could get a little more space, you could probably get just a regular speaker in there, as long as they aren't super deep.

The window is in the way when it's down, and I have about 1/4" clearance between the front of the speaker and the door panel one side. (Other side has more than an inch.)

Let me know if you come up with anything cause I have a 350z as well. Right now im running DD comp set in the doors and I think I might be having some window issues as well since they seem to sound alot more tight when the windows are up.Im pretty much looking for a new comp set anyways since one of my mids went about a week ago too.
