MB quarts used to be amazing... till they were bought out. Atleast that was my understanding. Focal has JL Audio beat... but its to the point of bragging rights only. I doubt you or any of your friends would be able to hear the difference between ZR's and Focals... especially if you have 2 sets of each properly powered. I have 2 sets of ZRs and I listen to it so the whole strip can hear it, and I still never have put it over 60 %. (thats 2 ZR's on a 450/4)

I looked at MBQ, Rainbow and Focal before settling on the Focal Polyglass 165comps. And the K2s are a step up from mine...

2. punchy/in your face midrange

3. smooth (not harsh!!) upper end.

may be confusing but they are coming to a good point. comps sound differently on a person to person, car to car basis. what sounds "good" to one person may not be for you.

so try your best to go somewhere and listen to some of them. if you cant its kind of a crap shoot.... you see alot of guys on here that pay 500 bucks or better on comps and a week later they sell them because they just werent what they were looking for .

I know that is the right way to do it, however I don't live in the US. In here we only get lower end fosgates and alpines, and then all the boss & jensen cr*p...

So I guess I'm going to have to rely on other ppls opinions...

However, if anyone has heard a pair of Grado SR80 cans, well that is what I'd like to experience in my car...
