If you're in or around Topeka, KS keep an eye out for a 15" SI Mag, Hifonics BXI2006D and a Kenwood x789. They were stolen out of my Tahoe on August 30th. The thief is Scott Strogner. The bastard also stole some bank statements and paid his cell phone bill with my fiance's checking account. If you come across any suspicious items or know of Scott Strogner, please let me know.

I can't get the Topeka Police to do SHIT! Evidently vehicular burglary is a huge problem there and I can see why! I'm actually scheduled to appear on the news for a segment on Saturday about the theft problem and the police department's total lack of action. I've done all the legwork here! I should've done ski mask justice, but I'm 25 now, am in the middle of relocating across the country, and I thought I'd try to do this the legal way. Well, that got me nowhere.

With my stereo and other belongings, the total theft adds up to $11,000. The damage to my Tahoe has been estimated at roughly $2500. On top of this, the guy has committed bank fraud and has attempted identity theft. Still, the Topeka police have deemed this is not worthy of their precious time.

my family lives in kansas. i'll be most people don't know that witchita kansas is the most crime infested town per capita in the country.

I've ran into the same problems before with stolen stuff...I've had the names for the police...vehicle they drove...where they lived .....license plate number...phone number...but they couldn't do anything...things that make you go hmmmmmm

start with father....siblings...mother...then children...significant other...cousins...etc...

Sorry to hear about the lack of action. If enough people call for a new Police Chief, it will happen. Atleast I hope it does. Good luck with your case.

I also live in Florida. Almost everyone I know has a gun in the house. Since the legislation was passed where you can actually use deadly force on a burglar or attacker in self defense, I have strangely become less worried about things while I am at home. Sounds like Topeka can take a page out of Florida's book in crime reduction.
