A 3-way will handle 200W per side, and I have a way to do this without fabricating mounts or cutting big holes. It will sound a lot better than a 2-way that will be getting into power compression with that much power.

I don't have a 3-way that I can comfortably recommend to take 200-300W for $200-300. CDT MX-3HD-Pod with the HD-M6 upgrade could take 200. It would work with 300W if you're going to listen to music with a wide dynamic range(high crest factor aka "SQ" music). If they blow I can't warranty them since they're rated for ~200W RMS per side.
