Yep, it won't change anything other than the tuning, so keep box volume the same when figuring out the length of the port.Ok, ill see what I can do. Could I add the extra length externally to my aready planned design?
Ok, based on psp aero tool a 4.5 box at 32 is 23.5long which is 5.5 longer. I could add the extra 5.5in outside the box and be fine?Yep, it won't change anything other than the tuning, so keep box volume the same when figuring out the length of the port.

Crap I forgot about, bracing but the manual says that each sub is 60.4 in3? so 6 = .21 ft3?Also, I got a little less than 4.5ft^3 after displacements, assuming that you have 16.25" of port inside the box.
5.19ft^3 before any displacements
-.5ft^3 for port
at least -.5ft^3 for subs
------------------
4.19ft^3
And that's without any bracing too.
That's weird, I've never seen a sub displacement that low, not even with an 8" sub.Crap I forgot about, bracing but the manual says that each sub is 60.4 in3? so 6 = .21 ft3?
You can do that. The extra air space along with the lower tuning will help out with the low-end for sure.If I do the same box 58.5w x 10d x now 24hThats
6.3cu ft
- .5 for subs
- .523 for port (8in dia 18in long)
---------------------------------------
5.277 before bracing and about 1.2in of port sticking out of the box. Would that be better?
Port would be 19.2in long for a 32hz tuning
in that small abox I wouldn't tune those subs that low...thats why I said 40hz...If it was a larger box closer to specs then it would be fine.....I've had good luck in the 30-32hz area. Box size plays a part in it too.
Alright, Yea the sub disp is wierd idk im just gona assume .5 like u said lol. They r not the biggest subs ive ever seen but i cant really see having all 6 at only .21. Ill measure out my truck tomorrow to see if that fits like i want it too. Thanks for all of the help man. Ill deff post a build log around new years. I gotta scrape up the extra dough for the box lol :/You can do that. The extra air space along with the lower tuning will help out with the low-end for sure.
Small box plus high tuning = big peak higher than usual in the repsonse curve...his peak would be in the 50hz area with a 40hz tune. A small box and a high tuning both kill low-end output, why would he want to do both?in that small abox I wouldn't tune those subs that low...thats why I said 40hz...If it was a larger box closer to specs then it would be fine.....
