5k watts ... around 7ft gross to work with?

I'm gathering ideas for my next subs setup. I've got 5000watts at 1ohm from a DAT prototype amp. Car is an elantra gt 2004, hatchback. Current subs are tc sounds made tc-9. They obviously can't take that kind of power Looking for some nice sql, sq is important here. Listening to rap

I was thinking about a pair of low airspace requirement 15s, but the idea of 4 tens popped in my head. four tens sharing 1250 watts each should be loud

Might be another pair of twelve too tho... i'm just wondering what should i look into.

and i'm not buying till few months so offerts aren't wanted here... just idea... any particular box design should i look into... sq in mind still, but some loudness

Why not run 4 fi q 10's or something along those lines. Or maybe RD sonances(wont take 1250 daily tho) or maybe 4 10" HDC3 10's

I already had the Q18... sound great it's in my ht atm. looking for something else but that sound as good or almost as an fiQ.

The sonances have a very flat response if thats what your looking for. The flatwinds will prolly take that power after rise too. And to top it off they are CHEAP.

that might be a nice idea. They don'T seems too expensive which is a plus. problem going from a pair to 4 subs is the price indeed.

I was thinking about two xcons 15s, but i don't want to chock them like i did with my aq sd2.5 15s. Nightshades doesn't take alot of space either, but i'm not sure they could be qualified as SQl subs... seems more spl

trust me there,s a huge difference between a sloppy fart sounding sub and a nice sq one... even on rap

that'd be sick but i still have lot of years in front of me for that kind of upgrade. If i were to do that now, what would be my next setup???

and lms aren't cheap by any mean... but definitivly my dream's subs
