5ga wiring kit enough ?

12 gauge should be fine for the subwoofer wiring. that's what i use. g/l with it.

When I upgrade the Big 3, does it matter what kind of wire I use ? Can it be regular 1/0 gauge, or does it have to be audio related quality ? Can one get the alternator whine crap from using different wires ?

welding wire is true 1/0.

some of the wire, is like 4 gauge with thick jackets made to look like 1/0.

just make sure you watch the wire you buy. wire is not wire in this case.

and i doubt you'll get alty whine unless you're grounds aren't too good or somethin like that.
