ground?

i currently have it grounded at the seat belt bracket, but people are telling me that's a bad idea, and why i am getting feedback. i was thinking of going straight to the frame. what would be the best way to go about this in a 97 explorer?

yes, you want to ground directly on the chassie/frame. make sure it is on bare metal.

drill of hole on the passenger side, by the wheel well. Then ground to the frame from inside the wheel well. Thats how moe-lesters was.

The seatbelt bolts tend to work fairly well in trucks and SUV's, but of course it will vary from vehicle to vehicle.

Did you scrape the chrome off the seat belt thing?

edit: got the hole drilled and a small piece of pipe put in as a grommit(coulnd't find one big enough at the hardware store) waiting for the silicon to dry to attach the ground and see how she sounds... oh yea, and i grindied down to the metal on the frame. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
