I don't wanna mess this up, but I do wanna do this myself (with help from you guys of course).
First question, the power wire that comes off the alternator goes to a fuse or relay under the battery and another wire goes from there to the positive on the battery. A third wire which is black goes underneath the engine, I think this may go to the starter. I'm gonna be running stinger 0 AWG wire I just don't wanna send it to the wrong place and fry something. Should I run a wire from the alternator to the fuse or relay under the battery and then another from there to the battery or should I do something else. Also, there is a couple other wires that lead off that relay/fuse and go other places on the vehicle. Any ideas?
Now to the grounding, there are three wires connected to the negative on my stock setup. First wire that comes off the battery shoots all the way down and connects to the engine. the second one shoots down towards the frame just near the tire area and is grounded there. Then for some reason there is another smaller wire that wraps around the battery and grounds out to the front of the battery where there is a metal post. I disconnected 3rd smaller wire which connected to the front of the battery and everything on the truck still works, so I'm guessing I don't need this one. Can I just ground the battery to the chassis and then ground the engine to the frame making both wires shorter?
Hope I explained this well enough, if you need some pics I can probably take some.
