I do want to sell mine, but in all honestly if I didnt I would still recomend the jls even though there alittle higher in price then some subs. I honestly think they are some of the best sql subs I have ever owned as I said I have owned 2 pairs and I have ran many setups now for 10yrs and these are my favorite

I heard there that much but the recomended power is 400 rms apiece but I have given my old set over 1k apiece and the new set I have is getting around 700 and they will still take more.

no way those would need near 2500 watts. If ya dont have an amp yet, that would save ya some money on an amp.

bimma u know REQ off here right? He has heard my sx 15 and he heard the xxx 15 we were both there for that one. I am gona meet up with him sometime before I sell my jls so he can hear them and I will let you two talk about what he though. He is in for one hell of a shock because he thought the sx was loud and the xxx. These things sound way better with so much less power in a smaller box.

hmm ya they are a little more price, but i believe in the whole " you get what you pay for," proverb crap lol, but its good too here they can handle that much power...and can pound it

yea thats the one nice thing about these they dont need a ton of power, so you dont need a $500+ amp to run a pair of them. Mine are running off a kicker sx 1250.1 and it is perfect just the right amount of power.

Just to prove they take alittle power and get loud, I didnt have a amp yet and bought a jenson 300 off ebay local for $1.00 and one channel was blown so I had one sub hooked up to that. I dont know the power but I think it was like 75 and it was still very impressive to see that little power moved this thing that well.My little brother and his friends think I am nuts and the stuff I do or how I never go by the rules type of way. And most installs I can get to sound great cheap. I have to watch my cash so I do :0)

I'm gonna have to call up jl tomorrow and see once and for all if this recone price is real or just some jl haters BS. If it is some BS I'll be dam tempted.

And in all honestly if your lookn to save some cash I would recomend some powerbase extremes. But you will need a large amp like the 2500d for them. And there like $200+ a 12 so its a hit or miss thing but the jls in sql I like better then the pbx. I just hooked one kid up with 4 sql powerbase 15's and he went from a solox to them and he likes them soo much more and were cheaper and less power then the solo and get alot louder.

I belive the recone is like 150 but then you have shipping so it will be like 200. But I ran my one set of 12's my brother bought them new when they first came out he ran them for over 1yr and paid 875 for the 2 12's. I bought them off him and used them for another yr until my gf was having our daughter and i got all crazy and sold all my sht thought my life was over etc. Then I got back into it tried some L7's re's etc and then bought back another set of jls because I was not happy with them. And anyone I know that runs the jls has not had to do a recone unless they got crazy and were burpin them with like 2k

I personaly like the sx1250.1 or the kx's or the orions this thing has the computer type built in that tells you the history of the amp the volts temps etc. has diffrent memory settins just a ton of feauters. The orion 1200ds and 600ds I was not impressed at all by them. I swapped a brutus 1000 for a 600d and it didnt make a diffrence then went from a 600d to a 1200d on the sx still nothing really noticeable. So then I went with 2 1200ds on the sx and was still nothing like wow what a diffrence.

alright decision comes down to ...2 12" jl w7 that i found on ebay for cheap, 2 12" re sx's ( if i can find any), or 2 12" re se's....hmm decisions decisions......

I would watch the w7's if there the ones I was looking at after emailing the guy he states he is in the states, but in emails says hes from europe check for a scam on that one.
