$500 max for 2 12 inchers

i am currently seeking advise on 2 12" subs, for 500 or under. I am looking for good spl with decent sq. I want to make this pound and i plan on running a refurb 2500, either viper or orien. I was looking at sx's but am unsure of the prices for them. I am also interested in Massive audio cw's but i know very little about the company, i am open to any opinions you all have on subs for my price. I need to order something soon so i can have them here by xmas, thanks for anything you have say..........except the flammage lol

SX's will be $540 shipped IIRC...

I'd persoanally recommend Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections... Little boogers pound, and don't really require a huge box...

I haven't personally heard the SX's, but everybody used to rave about them, and I believe that quite a few people used Orion 2500D's and Viper 2500.1's on them.. Do a little search about these... http://www.reaudio.com

If Adire doesn't jack up there price on the Shivas, I would definately recommend them. They used to be $225 shipped for a pair, and they are the best subs I've owned to date. Great sound clarity, and get a little loud... Very very musical. http://www.adireaudio.com

You may also want to tell us how much space you have, as that should be a determining factor when you buy a set of subs.

treo tsx. new they are like 200-250. super good sounding woofer. i know of a few guys running a pair of tsx 12"s off a c2k 9.0.

Yep treo is a very good sub. The sx pounds too but are mostly spl oriented. I would check into some mags. Those sound good and get loud.

SX is not fully spl orientied, they sound better than most subs you find at best buy and places to me, they also get pretty loud

x2 on that LI... Man i dont know why IA isnt bein pimped more... in that price range, NOTHING can kill IA. They underrate thier subs soo much. I mean its rated at 500w, but people are putting 6-800 for daily and burped with 2kw. built like tanks they are

seeing how your space is alittle over 3.0 and if you want used consider my jl audio 12w6v2's they sound great get low and loud as hell. I had a sx 15 ran in a 4.0 tuned to 32 and just did these 2 12's in 1.25 a piece and they sound so much better then the sx did, get alot louder and take up alot less space. I have a amp to go with it as well :0)

And this is my second set of these 12's thats how much i liked them i sold mine before my daughter was born, then got back into caraudio and tried many more subs and came back to these. The only reason I am thinking of selling them is to buy a snowmobile

3.8 total....seriously i need major help deciding on this one lol, i just need subs that every thinks are great...which i know wont happen since everyone is bias, but ya major help needed.

how many systems have you owned or heard before?

I am asking this because I see alot of kids that want more spl then sq but when it comes down to it in the end its not really what they wanted. I remember I did a system at the begining and want it stupid loud. And I did that but it sounded like AZZ. Just not a daily driver. So I just want to make sure you really know what you are looking to get your self into
