500-700wts to SX!!!!!

Can a single ported SX 12in sub get loud with bout 500-700 watts goin to it? I heared that they require some wattage to get pounding. The box is 2.5 cu.ft. And not ot get offf topic but what would be the best speaker wire to use for these subs? Ive seen setups that have these reallly thick wire, bu tI went out and got RF poer wiring kit that was 160$. And the speaker wire in the kit is fairly skiiny.

I believe that sub needs at least 800 watts to start moving.

Dont buy wire that has a brand name if you want to save, wire is wire, some have more strands, and are more flexible. 500-700 watts would probably be loud to most people, and if you are running that power, go to wal mart and get a 4gauge wiring kit for like 25 bux. comes with everything but speaker wire. I have had good luck with those.

if you can get money back for the RF kit i would, imo you can grab just as good of wire for 1/3rd of that, just go on ebay, i'd suggest using 12gauge speaker wire for the SX, and yes, with 700watts the sub should get going fine, it'd like 1000 more but w/ the right box 700 will be enough, maybe go 3 cubes and see how that works, port it around 33hz and you'll be fine

I was thinkin about 8 gauge. Ive already threw the receipt away for the kit. It should be fine, just adds luxury sayin i got RF wiring. J/K, but 3 cu.ft should be fine.

For power wire, use 4 Guage....speaker wire you dont' need anything larger than 16 guage...possibly 14 if you really want to but it doesn't matter much as you won't notice a difference. I use walmart brand 14 guage in my setup and works like a charm.

Im all about walmart, Id never work there again though...
