$50,000 and an old tahoe... help me spend it

Depo headlights are ok for the price but I know the ones for the Tahoe shake a lot, especially when you hit bumps.

I've had good luck with mechman alts and so has everyone I've ever sold one to. But excessive and singer are good as well. DC Power is probably the best you can buy but quite a bit more expensive.

I'll message you about the subwoofers. I'm waiting to publicly release too many details until I get them 100% ready for launch

Hmm.. Thas a bigass woofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i like! Ive seen singersnare popular, do they perform? I have used (and liked) excessive. He quoted me 400 for a dual alt bracket, so im scared to see what quad would cost though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Do you think the belt would be longer with 2 alts and a supercharger, than with 4 alts??i really appriciate the help btw:)
I've had a few issues with my Singer alts, but Mike is a good guy.

With my 320, they sent me the wrong case at first and tried to make me pay return shipping to get the right one that I initially paid for. That wasn't happening.

Then it was charging way too high, so I ran a new sense wire. Problem solved.

With the 370, I couldn't figure out why it was charging at 13.7v for the longest time. I eventually figured out that it had a stock regulator in it that was meant to be PCM controlled, not run internally regulated. There was some miscommunication in our emails and I didn't get a regulator for my intended use. I don't put him at fault for it, but it ended up costing me an extra $50 for a new regulator. After swapping the 320 from my car to my truck, it made very little power at idle. The shop that tested it got 60 amps out of it at idle, and the most they could get out of it at higher rpm's was 240 amps. Their machine goes up to 400 amps, so it was an accurate test. The 370 tested great with the new regulator. With the small case, the 320 doesn't put out much at idle because of the surface area inside or something. I'm no alternator expert.

DC power quad kits are only $685 after shipping https://www.dcpowerinc.com/fit/Chevrolet~Silverado~2007~5.3L-V8/gm-and-chevy-vortec-quad-alternator-bracket.html

I think the belts with dual alts and a supercharger would be similar length to the quad alt setup, but they have to be really exact. Slipping is bad, and it's good to have a belt that fits snugly.

Supercharging and running 4 alternators, I don't think you'd be able to find a belt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

There's a ping pong ball trick to get ur lights to not shake. It's on the tahoeyukonforum. A ping pong ball fits behind the headlight just right and wedges in there so the light won't shake.

Does anyone else find it a bit strange that this guy been on the forum a short time and just now asking us for help for an all out spl vehicle?? Flashing cash like loss33...I'd invest that $$ instead.

Imo that $$ belongs in a bank account unless you plan to buy something big in the next few days.

Oh, and you can edit your username if it was a typo. You can change "Truet" to "Trust"

not that I need to justify myself to anyone, buuuut a couple points here:

first- I have not, nor will I, be building an spl vehicle. I didnt ask about that either.

second (and the meat of the discussion)- this is play money. I have other income, and several very lucrative investments. this is money im willing to toss out the window on a rapidly depriciating asset, using the reasoning of "hey this sounds like fun, let's do it!". this isnt a daily driver, this isnt my only car, this isnt a significant amount of funds in my financial outlook. this is a toy. if you cant grasp that, or cant agree with that, well.. dont do it. bit.if you think this is a drop in the bucket to me, youre wrong.

He plans on spending it, let him spend it. YOLO FVCKERS. Wow gayyiest shlt I've ever said
nah, I get what hes saying, but I think he may be assuming this is like my life savings or something, lol. I got investments and savings covered!

Good deal. Even douche's are accepted here though, lol

You can fund my next build if you have any leftover pocket change //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

btw- I am certianly not trying to come off as arrogant, and I apologize in advance of it does. I do respect your opinion, and thank you for your input. I like the smaller budget builds as much as the big builds, but this is what ive allotted for this truck! also, the majority of the budget will likely go to body, paint, brakes, interior, etc. 50k isn't just the stereo! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also_ ****** choice of subs! ive still got a bnib pair of re hc 15.s that ill NEVER part with!
