5% on front windshield

there are a few cars down here in they keys that i have come across with tinted windsheilds. there's maybe 2-3 people with 5% tints up front. in all honesty really it's to each his own.

you say 5% tint up front is dangerous from blinding.

so is having a loud stereo. what if your going thru an intersection with your stereo blasting then some ambulance just T-bones you cause well, you didn't hear it?

or that motorcycle that's cruising beside you but being that a lot of people don't look when switching lanes well.. you didn't hear it, and an accident may happen.

now if he gets into an accident. boo-fing-hoo.. it's his problem and he will have to deal with it.

lol. i myself will get my windsheild tinted, though not to that degree. i'm considering a 50-60% mainly i want it to cut off sunlight/uv rays and the annoying glare off lights at night.

thanks.

i put 35% on my moms lexus, its not bad at all, from outside or inside. inside it really helps though, although mine helps better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the sides are 15% btw

Wow, 5% or even 50% on a windshield is too dark in my opinion. When you idiots get in accidents it makes the government get stricter on giving tint tickets. So I suffer because of you idiots.

And why would you even need double 5% on the sides? You can't even see in with 5%, so what's the point?

That shit is so dangerous for everyone including yourself. Good driving record is not an excuse, all it takes is one time. It doesn't matter how good of a driver you are if you can't see the motorcycle next to you. You can't always hear them especially since the exhaust is pointed rearwards. Do you know how many times people without tint almost merged into me? Tint that dark just makes the odds better that it will happen. Watch out for motorcyclists! It's hard enough for us out there with idiots in non tinted cars!

thanks.

is that 35% up front?? or 35% all around?

i kinda like the way it looks on there at that degree.

Well, I'm glad your daily driver is like that at least.

The only reason I'm arguing is because it's NOT just the internet. You are or were driving that truck on roads. I'm trying to inform you because you're obviously not that experienced, young, and stupid like I once was. I've known people who have died in bike and car accidents and it blows.

I wouldn't be surprised that if you killed someone in an accident with that thing, that loved ones of the victim would hunt you down and mess you up, then sue you.

thats the attitude i hate from older people. they assume a young person (im 20) doesnt know how to drive. just becuase youve been driving long DOES NOT make you better automatically, right off the bat. you ASSUME becuase im 20, im not a good driver. all older people are the same way. im not saying IM better, but im not saying YOU'RE better either. thats YOUR opinion.

the same concept is with cops. they think becuase they are a cop, they can speed (if they're chasing someone or something, thats fine)

but when you see cops driving just normally, they're always speeding, becuase they "can"

they can hit a pedestrian just like any other responsible driver can.

just because they have a blue stripe on their car means they can speed for no reason, and they are invisible?

no, they arent. they think they are. i hate that shit.

but back on topic, thats how older people think. they have 30 years of driving under their belt, so they're automatically "the better driver" becuase i only have 5 years under my belt.

thats incorrect, and it pisses me off.

if you have double 5% all the way around why do you NEED 5% up front? With double 5% all the way around you could get like 30% upfront and you still wouldnt be able to see into your car

That's what everyone thinks when they are younger. They THINK they are good and responsible drivers until something happens and then they learn from their bad experience. I know because I thought the same way.

You can't compare your car to cop car. I agree cops abuse their driving privelages and that can be dangerous but their cars don't have double 5% on the sides and 5% on the windshield!

Sure you can be a responsible and safe driver and still be young, but it's usually not the case. The fact that you think it's perfectly safe to drive around with %5 on your front window just proves 100% that you are a horrible and irresponsible driver lol.

it doesnt prove a **** thing. you just said it too. "sure you can be responsible, but its USUALLY not the case"

true, it usually isnt.

you're putting me in that category, and you are wrong for doing so, when you dont even know me. im not, as you mentioned, the type that "thinks" they're a good driver. if you ask me, your acting like that type right now, saying becuase you're older, you're a better drive (older in general, not just you in particular)

you keep saying that im safe, until something happens. there you go again with your assumptions. "UNTIL" something happens.

who's to say something will happen? you dont know, and yes, neither do I, but you're implying that im just some teenage punk that gets in a car and at night i just drive however the F i want, which is false. you can think what you want, along with everyone else. like i said, i dont know why you're making a big deal, its not even a daily driver anymore, and when it was, i was very careful at night.

double 5% on the sides is not all that hard either. you really do get used to it, and alot of the times at night i crack the windows to see out anyways, since its cool and no sun, no need for a/c. i do like the double 5% at night though, blocks all headlight glare in my mirriors, and really helps believe it or not, when changing lanes.

you get the point.

who cares, its my car, im safe when i drive, no need to argue.
