That is so stupid IMO. If you want to go 5% on the windows thats fine its really up to you. But to tint the winshield that dark is just retarded.
why is it okay to tint the side windows that dark... you gotta look out those at night too... as well as the rear....

That's just the point. He more than likely WILL hit someone or something, as it is obviously very difficult to see out his windshield. That's like saying walking through a crowded stadium with a running chainsaw isn't bad "as long as you don't run into anybody with it." So is it better to wait for it to happen rather then prevent it from happening if he did not get 5% tint in the front windshield in the first place. I like dark tint, but putting 5% on the front windshield gets really unnecessary. You might as well put cardboard over your windows if you want it that dark.
