5% on front windshield

You can't compare your car to cop car. I agree cops abuse their driving privelages and that can be dangerous but their cars don't have double 5% on the sides and 5% on the windshield!
actually we have 2 not so undercover cops that have limo tint all the way around on their unmarked police interceptors.

one is all black and the other is a silver. both have tinted windsheilds and have been spotted driving in day and night.

on a side note does anyone know a really good place to get tints done for a reasonable price? you know the people that do the shit right?

looking for a place in miami or in that area.

down here they charge close to $200 for tinting.. total gayness

i paid 150 for that lexus i posted on page 5, 15% all around (sides, back) and 35% windshield, its Llumar film, looks great. i go to the guy alot though for my cars so he hooks me up majorly

ive got 5% all around on my truck and 28% on my full windshield... i have no problem seeing out. cept at night when im backing up. Ive had ppl ride around and they can hardly tell its tinted even though it is.

im really thinking about getting my windshield done after i hear how many people have it. Im definantly not going 5% because it DEFINANTLY makes it harder to see out of them at night, but i dont feel it matters on the sides, the front though definantly would be dumb to be that dark for any DD.

But im thinking maybe 35% or so would be nice...

ya, i never said 5% was easy, never said it was "cool" or "smart" either..i just like it, and its not a daily driver anymore so who cares. i do have 15% on my mini cooper though, with double 5 everywhere else, and i love it. i can drive just fine at night, and the day is GREAT. my moms lexus with the 35% windshield, you at night you cant even tell its tinted really. during the day, you can notice that it helps some of the sun. it really does make a day drive ALOT more comfortable.

ALOT.

id go for the 35%, even 30 or 20% wont be that hard.

just gotta find a good tint place that won't overcharge you for using 2 types of tint films.

don't some places charge you for th roll? for instance if you wanted 5% they'd charge you for that then if you wanted 35% on the front they'd charge you for a roll of 35% too?

i'm noob at the tinting game as when i bought my car they already had tints on them.

theres a blazer i saw on termpro once, had 5% windshield, and on the sides and back it had 4 layers, double 5% and double 20% lol

i had pics on my old pc, i gotta see if i can find them

thats when i tinted my windshield in 5% after i saw his

looks pretty crazy man! I dont know how i would like that. I have 5% all around on my truck and a 5% stripe on the top of my windshield but I feel its to dark. But i have always wondered how it would look with 5% on a windshield and it looks pretty cool.

BTW do you have any pictures of your car during the day? I want to see how it looks in day lights. Thanks.

I have 15% all around my car and 35% on the whole front windshield. I couldn't ask for anything better. People don't even notice the whole windshield is tinted besides the fact you can't see into the car..

James, that looks badass!

i HAD 5% on my windshield on the mini cooper for a day...it was too dark for this car, it wasent bad in the explorer but this car i tend to drive a little faster in so i didnt want it

For those of you with dark tint on your windshield do you have hids'? I wanna go like 20% on my front windshield but my head lights are smoked so my light output of my HID's are about as bright as normal halogens

my explorer with the 5% has stock headlight housings from 1997, with shitty stock bulbs, if that tells you anything. my Mini has HID's though. youll be FINE with 20% and HID's even if u do have covers.

i wouldn't go recommending anybody to do any certain percentage. there is a safety factor that you should decide for yourself, only do what you can see through and consider where you'll be driving.my boy with 5% could drive unlit backroads with no problems when i couldnt even see the street. i drove 20% but never left an area that is completely lit 24/7.

it does look real cool but crashing does not.
