5 channel wire (10 wires)

I would like to move my processor to the trunk. Anybody know where I can find some wire with 10 strands in it so that I can extend the 5 channels about 12 feet? I suppose that I could run 5 pairs, but would rather do one wire if I can.

closest i can think of would be some 10 wire t-stat wire.

You guys are great. Thanks. I will probably pick up a spool of speedwire, but I might hit home depot first for some tstat wire.

I don't see how solid tstat wire would hurt for a 1v signal at about 2-12 watts...

i have personally used it for signal/speaker wire in HT applications. i don't think CA would be any different.

the first number is the wire guage (AWG)

the second number is the number of conductors (wires)

you might be able to find it bigger than 18ga

Or you can just get some TechFlex and run speaker wires inside of it.

this would work too, and is actually stranded wire vs solid. BUT this will also be thicker and is a touch over $3 a foot, whereas the t-stat wire is ~$1 a foot.
