Hello,
I just replaced all the stock speakers on my 95 lexus gs300, the stock speakers were 4" but we had to cut the baffle and upgrade it to 5.25" PIONEER TS-A1372R,
http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-TS-A1372R-5-25-3-Way-200W-SPEAKERS-NEW-PAIR_W0QQitemZ120370478363QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Speakers?hash=item120370478363&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
So, all 4 speakers were replaced and now the problem I have is that whenever I try to turn up the volume the highs tend to distort. It gets to a point where I have to turn the treble alllll the way down just to be able to turn up the volume.
Why is this happening? Is it the speakers? Or do I need an amplifier to power the highs?
I also have 2 pioneer tweeters added to the back door panels.
Thanks for the help guys
