the sub you choose has to have the right TS parameters which the box would be designed around. (for maximum performance that is)

remember you can't just take any sub and throw it in a box like this and have good performance.... you can design a box around any sub, but the peek tuning freq will be very high, or the box will be really hugh.

depending on the sub it may be more efficient not being in this type of design.

its an 18" fi btl fully loaded

no that box would have to be just as big, more likely bigger than a ported box for that sub, and you would not be able to get the best sound out of it. Unless youre doing a blowthru in a reg. cab truck, you wont be happy with that sub in that box. just go ported.

4th order is my favorite box, getting 2 tuned fz and increased power handling, plus you can make it pretty with plexi, lights, subs are protected, to bad industry has gone cheap and no body wants to pay for a better box!
