Get Some *****
i probly know this answer but ill ask it any way. is there anyway to get a two ohm load from a SVC 4 ohm sub? probly NO
yeah thats what i thought didnt know if there were some resistors or something but my amp will do 300x2 @ 2 or 600x1 @ 4 so ill just get two 8ohm and pair them at 4not with just one svc 4ohm. Two you can, but not one.
A pair of Dual 4-ohm VC subs will also present a 4-ohm load at the amp if you wire them in a series / parallel configuration.yeah thats what i thought didnt know if there were some resistors or something but my amp will do 300x2 @ 2 or 600x1 @ 4 so ill just get two 8ohm and pair them at 4
then get 2 svc 4ohm and wire them parallel to 2ohm finalyeah i know that but the subs im getting are a SVC JL8W3V3
i got those specs but dont know if the amp is 2 ohm stable in bridgd mode probly not b/c they dont list 2ohm bridged pwr rating600 W x 1 RMS bridged @ 4 ohms» 300 Wx 2 RMS @ 2 ohms
» 200 W x 2 RMS @ 4 ohms
You have the right idea. Get the pair of 8-ohm SVC's and wire them in parallel to the bridged amp for a 4-ohm load... it definitely isn't going to like a 2-ohm load when bridged.i got those specs but dont know if the amp is 2 ohm stable in bridgd mode probly not b/c they dont list 2ohm bridged pwr rating
i would like to run it 300 Wx 2 RMS @ 2 ohms but cant get SVC 4ohm down to 2ohm oh well
any opinions on Power Bass amps i can get a new ASA-600.4 through my employer for $135 it will do 400x2 @ 4 so that would work better for me. is PB any good thoughYou have the right idea.
