Have 4k to two of them and over 5k to one, and they have been goin without a recone for over a year and a half //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
No need to. One the price is outrageous and two, to run a sub. At 4k "daily" he better have a 5k-6k amp wired at 1ohm. Then the sub will see a true 4k "daily".

For the price a BTL will handle the 40.1 on daily since it wont be no 4k "daily" maybe 3k if you're lucky.

Also I'm pretty sure the BTL would be capable to take more than 4k for short bursts.
