Hey man. You gonna help that guy with his four 8"s?

I'm pretty sure the subs he's going to use are designed for sealed enclosures. I'm no expert on the subject, though. Just thought I'd mention it...

Yeah, they can be used either way, the ported box just has to be a little "off" compared to normal for the response curve to work out well.

I'm sure you know more than me, dude. I'm not a box guru by any means.

I think dude's going to real happy with his new equipment...

There is guys out there doing 158's with 2 12's and guys out there not breaking 150 with 8 15's it all depends in the ultimate goal. It's all about your range. I sat in a van with 8 15's doin 168 at 65hz and a suburban with 8 15's doing 155's at 27 hz and the 155's was much more impressive on music.

That's not impressive to me. That's just to high of frequency. I'm mean ya it's loud, but only for burps. I understand it, but don't think it's that impressive.

yes i know its 2 dbs louder for the 12 15s vs the 48 10s, but anyways. if they were the same dbz would there be the same amount of force or would there be more for one or the other. just dont understand how they could be the same "loudness" if one has more cone area.
sorry if no one understand what im sayin im retarded ...

I'd like to ask, what 48 10"s are you referring to? Hanks Ford Dually?

If it is, I'd also like to point out that he did a 156.7dB at 30Hz, what was the freq that got 155dB for the 12 15"s at? So by my math, 156 beats 155.

After we got done reinforcing his roof, he should've gained even a bit more. He's not totally done w/the roof yet either. Some great stuff foam needs to be added as well as welding shut the cracks in the roof caused by the flexing. Here's what's been done so far.
