Frame grounds are fine if you have a solid frame. Unibody car should be grounded front battery to rear battery.

So if I did 3 deka g31 batts, one under hood, two in trunk. A 270 amp alt. And two runs of 1/0 power to back and grounded batts to good spot on the frame it would be good? Could I ground in the back and do just one run of negative to front batt?

Ur battery is the best ground in your car, I would do 2 runs off the pos and 2 runs off the neg.. then ground to the frame

Ok so get like 75 ft of wire? What gauge speaker wire do I need? Gunna do one pos and one neg to bolt terminal on box then connect the subs with terminals to that box? Like 4 gauge from amp to box and 8 gauge to subs from bolt inside of the box?

Now thats overkill, u dont need the 4 gauge from amp to box

and i must have missed what kind of car you have??I have an explorer with 4 runs and it was less then 75feet, but if your gonna be wiring batts, doing big 3, etc.. then I would shoot for the 75-80ft range

It's a sh1tty little 03 Chrysler Sebring lxi coupe. I ain't gunna complain tho I got it for 500$ in excellent condition and 90k miles. Gunna sell it soon for 2500$.

why would he need 4 runs of 1/0???? the batt bank is in the rear and the alt "ideally" puts out 270amps...

You don't. Multiple runs to the back is only really useful in DB Drag Street class or similar where you are limited to only what's under the hood.

A very safe rule of thumb is 1 additional battery per 1000W of amp power. You can likely get away with less depending on your listening habits, but you can do a lot if you stick to that.

I run 10k on my subs w/ 8ga. You are fine w/ 12ga honestly.

Do you need any batts?? I has them for cheap. C&D , Optima, Deka blems. all under $200 bucks shipped

Not gunna buy them for a while, buying subs,amps and wire first. Gunna install it this spring, gets too cold here for me to put a expensive system in ha
