ok i sold my 2 rockford punch zs(got bored..not enuff thump in the rump)

now i got 450$ for subs and amp, a friend at school is selling 2 15" Hx2 and amp and box for 450$, should i go for that or is there anything out there that i can get that hits hard sounds good and in the price range

and howhard will the 2 15 Hx2s hit??

Hx2's are good subs. If you port them, they will knock real hard. What amp though....if you dont feed them enough wattage, then they wont do anything.

A XXX will run close to his $450 budget, before even looking at an amp. I think its a bit out of his range.

But i'd say that's a decent deal for the hx2's...they'll be loud...won't have great SQ...but they'll be loud. peace

As far as a normal driver goes, those 15's in most any application will be very loud. It just depends on what loud is to you and your ears but the meter and spl is another animal. I think that it is a good deal depending on what amp etc.

oh yeah, i might be selling my horse.....so with 2 grand i wont have any trouble financially wise on a system
