I'm tired of this. Every **** thing I do makes my setup worse. It's always something. *rant...*
I'm getting rid of my subs for the new year. They have no quality at all. I'm looking for something different.
I have a 16x16x36 space to build an enclosure (2.15x2 or 4.3x1 cubes or less) and I want something punchy (REALLY punchy) with tight bass, but loud enough to (barely) vibrate the outside rear view mirrors. It will go in a sealed box (don't argue with me). Attached to it will be my Power Acoustik amp, it's basically doing what it claims, so assume 400 to 600 RMS. My philosophy is "2 is better than 1" as far as how many subs.
Any size sub will do. From 10-15 inches. I won't port the box, but I do have 2 ten inch drone cones (passive radiators) at my disposal. I'm not too proud to put a 6.5 inch Roadmaster in there for drones, either. If they blow, I'm not out much.
Price range, well, we'll cross that bridge as we get to it.
Any thoughts?
