Can't put any of this on me at this point. You should be starting to get a feel for what those curves you see on your software actually sound like with music. One hump camel sounds powerful but may be a little anemic on certain tracks, two hump camel sounds just awful (IMO), and wide and flat is going to just amaze you with every track you throw at it. As you say, you sacrifice to get it, and with some subs you'd need to sacrifice too much to get there. Luckily the JL subs are designed more like studio monitor/home woofers and usually model quite well tuned low (as we've seen... provided you have enough airspace). Also, Hispls, if this doesn't sound good it will be entirely your fault!J/k
Good times. I'm in the maple business but we stopped making syrup this year. The point where you hit economies of scale to make it worthwhile is really huge these days. I'm sourcing mine from friends who make enough to sell by the barrel which has the bonus of I'm not risking losing my arse on a poor harvest year, I'm not stuck with a portion of my crop that's funky tasting late season, and I can be very selective about what I'll take.Side note:Grew up in northern Pennsylvania Allegheny mountains where from age 8 to 16 helped grandpa in a sugarshack nestled in his prized maple stand...good times.
Correct me if I'm wrong but that box was in a pickup before and now it's in a van? Or it was always in a van and we just never saw any pics besides the front? Either way you have an awful lot of space with which to work if you need louder.
