I'm in the process of getting an H701, but i wanted to know what most 4 way users are using as far as the crossovers, and or processing units you guys are using.
I'm using an 880 for 3-way, but I have the mid output split and crossed over at the amps. My midbass amp is set at a lowpass of 250, while my midrange amp is highpassed @ 250.
This way I have the highpass for my midbass with a steep slope and is adjustable on the fly... something I find very helpful depending on my listening tastes at any given moment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
The H701 will do all the processing you need //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif Most users use that, or use a P9 combo.
I hear the PPI dcx 730 is a very nice unit. I've heard some setups with it and I was very impressed.

^^that way will surely work, but the only downfall I see about that route is time alignment & separate channel level adjustments.
as for the OP getting an H701.. I use one and am very happy with its capabilities. Only thing I don't like about it is that you cannot overlap with the parametric eq, but I use the graphic eq anyways.
