I am toying around with the idea of doing a 4 12" setup. I can get the type R's for the cheapest with the Kicker L7 not far behind.

Do you guys think 4 R 12's or 4 L7 12's will out-do 1 18" MT by a good amount?

Power is 1 orion 2500d. I am running it at .7 to the MT right now. I suppose I could run it at .5 to the 12's if not, then 1 ohm.

Vehicle is Isuzu Rodeo, boxes all ported. Right now the MT is in ~11 cubes external, and around 7 cubes NET. The 12's will be in the biggest box I can fit, probably around 10-11 cubes.

Just trying to decide if it is worth the time and money to do this. I don't want it to be done and it is not much louder then the MT.

Let me know what you guys think.

Oh yea this is for mainly street beating/daily driving.

I'm not trying to do an A vs. B post, just trying to get some opinions. I've never really heard a properly done 4 12" setup.

4 12's FTW, cone area would probably give them the advantage. If you did two 18's then I would go that route. Dont be a *****, get another 2500d and MT!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

You're lookin at 400 sq. inches of cone area with 4 12" L7s and with 2 18s you are lookin at 375.2 sq. inches of cone area. 1 18" MT will give you 187.6 sq inches of cone area. God ****,18s do have a lot of cone area, kinda makes me wish I would have kept my 2 18XXXs for my new setup....

OK guys, the REAL question is:

Will 4 12L7's be A LOT louder then 1 18MT?

I want to be like WOW that is ALOT louder! lol
