it is a 3200 max watt amp and 1600X1 rms.no it'll be the other way around... which is much more dangerous to your equipment....
but in any case I'm going to go see my fiance... good luck novice...
Here is the price for some DD 2512's I had posted....Those will be perfect with your amp I have a pair BNIB for $500 shipped...I bought them for a projecy and changed my mind.....If you are trully interested I'll break one open for a pic....They are massive double stacked magnet and a nice basket...
max means nothing, the amp won't be doing 1600w it's overrated... so you will overcompensate by turning the gains up too high to get the subs to hit harder, the amp will clip and the subs will die..........................it is a 3200 max watt amp and 1600X1 rms.
i think the amp would be fine plus i'd only get 1100 out of it.
i meant i couldn't put it at .5ohm to get the most of the subs and i know i can run higher ohms. and wouldn't i be able to tell if the amp was clipping? and how would i help ease the strain on the amp?get dual 1 ohm, single sub, run the amp at 2 ohms............................................ 2 fi's is going to push your amp too hard... you will clip the amp, then you will kill the fi's...
your amp can do anything from 1-infinity ohms... and any decimal point in between...
you can run 1, 2, 4, 8, or even 16 ohms... ... not just one ohm
ok, thought you meant it couldn't go above 1 ohm...i meant i couldn't put it at .5ohm to get the most of the subs and i know i can run higher ohms. and wouldn't i be able to tell if the amp was clipping? and how would i help ease the strain on the amp?
do you think that the DD's would be better suited for the amp then? i really don;t want to get a single sub. i have heard the defference and i want the two.max means nothing, the amp won't be doing 1600w it's overrated... so you will overcompensate by turning the gains up too high to get the subs to hit harder, the amp will clip and the subs will die..........................

it is a cheap amp. if anything i can save up and get another and hook up my other batteryok, thought you meant it couldn't go above 1 ohm...
you can't always tell when your amp is clipping with subs.... to reduce the strain you lower the gains on the amp, which will give the fi's less power... I'm saying if the fi's want too much more power than your amp can produce without clipping, you will likely up the gains, clipping the amp, killing the subs...
but it is new and i don't want to through away that moneyyour amp is killing you man. get a new amp
understandable. just curious..how much did you buy it for?but it is new and i don't want to through away that money
