Whats the opinion on the subs facing away from each other like this?

AFAIK (but don't take my word for it), they would cancel each other out. You'd have to have two of their phase's reversed I think. I'm probably wrong, so wait for someone with more experience to post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yes reversing the polarity will work and it wont damage the subs, another option is inverting 2 of them so theyre all facing the same direction

but wont it just hold the air in place to a point, completely ruining the point of the port?

 
how is that "gay" in any way? they are 12"s, I'm using all the space in my trunk as efficient as I possibly can. figure out a way to use 36x33x15 any better with four 12"s (LxWxH) and you let me know. they require 2 cubes each.
