I've got Shivas
I recently bought a new Kicker KX 800.2 and I was looking into purchasing 2 12" cvr's they are 4ohms, but say 2 ohm optional... I am retarded with car audio so I don't understand how a 4 ohm sub could be 2 ohm optional. Here are the specs for that amp. I don't want to run it at 4 ohms with an rms of only 200 watts so I want to be sure that 4 ohms subs with a 2 ohm option can be run at 400 watts to each sub. Or should I run it at 1ohm bridged to each sub? In other words which subs will I get the most power out of. Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but this stuff is really new to me.
RMS Power at 4 ohms - 200 x 2
Freq Response - 20 - 20k Hz
THD/RMS Power - 0.085%
The Signal to Noise Ratio - 95 DB
Amps input Voltage -13.8v
The Peak Power Output - 400 x 2
Power at 2 Ohms 400 x 2
Bridged Power at 4 ohms - 800 x 1
RMS Power at 4 ohms - 200 x 2
Freq Response - 20 - 20k Hz
THD/RMS Power - 0.085%
The Signal to Noise Ratio - 95 DB
