4 ohm speaker 2 ohm speaker and 4 ohm amp

Hi, I recently bought 2 new speakers thinking they were both 4 ohm speakers. Well, after having problems and being car audio ignorant for awhile I realized that I had speakers of different resistance. My speakers are Alpine type r 10 inch, one is 4 ohm and one is 2 ohm. Both are DVC. My amp is a 550 watt scosche 4 ohms. I'd like to run them in bridge, however when I do so one speaker will work while the other will not. Is there any way around this or do I have to buy a new speaker?

Take one back and get another in the VC config. you still have. Will make it easier on you wiring them up.
